Review: “Dayum Unluck” by Loki Moon

Loki Moon is a three piece group consisting of David Jones, Bobby Wooten and Ashley Edwards. The group originally began in New York City in 2014, originally called “Blasé” before Davis moved to Colorado and expanding the group into what is known today as Loki Moon with the inclusion of Ashley Edwards. On April 5th of this year, the group released their single “Dayum Unluck” also featuring King Haile. What did we think of it? Here goes!

The track is a clear demonstration of both Loki Moon and King Haile’s ability here. A very impressive track with a good, clear mix. What is a nice touch about the track is that it’s a guaranteed rollercoaster ride you’ll want to keep listening for days. There are some really nice chill parts to the track that really go well with the more heavier sections, a good steady flow. What is also a nice touch is the way the synth adds a good, solid foundation to the track. Also there are a lot of retro sounds that really make for a great effect.

A solid track from a rock solid group, King Haile’s inclusion definitely paid off as well! We look forward to hearing more from them!

“Dayum Unluck” by Loki Moon was released on April 5th 2019. You can listen to it on Spotify and YouTube. You can also follow them on Facebook, Instagram and on their website.
