Sweepydee is a UK Hip Hop artist based in Manchester. On October 3rd 2019 he released his new EP “1719”. The first track on this release is titled “Baghdad” – what did we think of it? Here goes!
The track pulls no punches, an eclectic flow full of energy. The mix is truly superb and is really well done. All the elements flow nicely to create a truly interesting listening experience. This is a great example of what the UK has to offer in terms of hip hop. It’s very clever play on words that is the hook to this track.
There is a lot of noticeable auto-tune which does somewhat take away from the experience, but overall it’s a very difficult track to find a fault for. Absolute fire for Sweepydee’s first EP. Overall a very ambitious project, but great rewards in the final product.
