We’ve previously covered The Pierce Project on Call That Music? but this time we were very fortunate to get our hands on a new track they’re releasing from their soon-to-be-released album “Songs for Emi”. The track we’ll be looking at is called “Vanilla Parfait”. What did we think? Well let’s go!
The track is a short one, clocking in around just shy of two and a half minutes. If you ever thought “what would The Beatles write together if they were all still kicking it in 2020?” well this is it. There’s a lot going on in this, elements scattered around to great effect. As the journey unfolds, it heads in a different direction before turning to into another one. What we mean by that is the song starts soft before going to a much harder turn before finishing somewhere in between.
On the whole, we would say that while this is a pretty neat little ditty – it could have been a bit longer, but then there’s probably much more to be said and to expect from The Pierce Project’s upcoming album!
