Chris St. John is an artist based out of Long Island, USA. On September 15th 2021, he released a brand new single titled “Hey Siri”. We took a listen to the track, what did we think? Here goes!
The track begins with the introduction of various elements, wasting no time before getting stuck right into it. What then unfolds is a pretty pleasant trip, you’d be forgiven if you thought this was Paul Simon cut for the modern age as the similarities are laid bare for all to hear. The lyrics fit the melody very well, all placed neatly – though the content itself feels as though it would appeal much to the enjoyment of folks of a more time experienced situation (for want of a better phrase). Despite that, it is highly charming and doesn’t jar too far off the listening experience throughout the run time.
Overall, the track is a quaint little ditty – nothing too “out there”. If you’re looking for something to (literally) play safe, then this is certainly the track for you. “Hey Siri” is a song full of familiarity telling technological based tales in a very soft, velvety way. The mix and master is rock solid, the composition as a whole too. The answer to the question “what does a cloud sound like?”, well this right here – is the answer.
